Types of ceremony

In Italy, you can have a valid civil wedding, a religious wedding or a symbolic ceremony. The civil ceremony has to take place in a room “sala comunale” which is a room which belongs to the Town Hall of the city or town where you decide to get married. Usually the couples who choose this type of ceremony have had a civil ceremony in their country before coming to Italy. The couple having a symbolic ceremony or a blessing in Italy doesn’t have to go through all the paperwork’s required for civil or religious ceremonies in Italy. The symbolic ceremony can take place anywhere and the location are gay friendly.
